The Employment
& Training Fund (ETF) from
the Department of Labor and Industrial Relations is
a job skills upgrade program for current workers. Employers can
receive customized training grants for their workplace or they
can nominate a current worker for an established training
course.

Workforce Development Division of the Department
of Labor and Industrial Relations leads the state of Hawaii in
the development of One-Stop Service offices. Local
offices provide a variety of employment and training services.

Market Information
The Chamber of
Commerce of Hawaii is the state's premier business advocate
and the only U.S. chamber to
represent both a major metropolis and a state. The Chamber
has been instrumental in the development of many institutions
dedicated to community well being.

Support
This report, published by the
Council for Advancement of Adult Literacy, compares
selected adult basic education program characteristics of community
college and non-community college programs in five
states. The comparison is based on comparable data collected by
CASAS (Comprehensive Adult Student Assessment System).
