The Division of
Workforce Development of the Florida Department of
Education develops standards and benchmarks,
allocates resources, provides technical assistance, and assesses
system performance based on high levels of student achievement.

Workplace Education and
Outcome Information Services (WEOIS) collects, analyzes, and
publishes Vocational and Adult General Education data.
Decision makers involved in Florida's workforce development
initiatives use the information about education and training
processes, and their results. WEOIS services are directed
to school districts, community colleges, universities, training
programs, placement programs, and other related services.

Workforce Development
Information System (WDIS) is the state Workforce Development
reporting system. Each of the five reporting formats
contains WDIS data elements used for gathering appropriate
student data.

Florida, Inc. (WFI) is
the state's chief workforce policy organization. Workforce
development services in Florida are available primarily through
a system of more than 200 One-Stop Career Centers designed to
provide easy access to diverse services including job placement
and training.

The Florida Agency for
Workforce Innovation provides information from a
services perspective, to workforce professionals and partners
and employers. From this portal, employers can
access regional workforce boards and One Stop Center
directories.

The Division of Workforce
Development is divided into five Regional Teams that
serve education providers around the state. Offering technical
assistance, the Regional Teams serve a wide range of
clients...from community members, teachers, administrators, and
students to local and state business leaders through a variety

flexible, results-oriented training program that teaches

helps adult basic education students to gain the skills and

Florida Tech Prep of
the Department of Education prepares students for a highly
skilled technical occupation that allows either direct entry
