The Employment Training Section is part of the Division of Vocational and Adult Education in the Department of Elementary and Secondary Education.  It administers, maintains and distributes the Workforce Investment Act (WIA) eligible training provider list for the state of Missouri.

Missouri Tech Prep of the Department of Elementary and Secondary Education prepares students for a highly skilled technical occupation that allows either direct entry into the workplace as a qualified technician or continuation with further education.

The Missouri Training and Employment Council develops and provides recommendations regarding the improvement of the state's employment and job training service delivery network. The council serves as a forum for public and private sector representation.
