The Minnesota Department of Children, Families & Learning includes all educational programs and others that address family breakdown, violence and poverty, thus improving access to services. The department models state level local "one-stop shops" where educational services work together with other community resources.

Information on Adult Basic Education, including eligibility and where to find training providers, is provided for employers and individuals. Basic skills include reading, writing, computation, listening and speaking, creative thinking and problem-solving, personal effectiveness, group effectiveness, societal effectiveness, and knowing how to learn.

The Literacy Training Network Resource Center provides development opportunities and resources to literacy practitioners and employs a train-the-trainer program to improve learning opportunities offered in Adult Basic Education Programs.

The NetWORK for Customized Training, Education & Development operates within the Minnesota State Colleges and Universities.  It provides a dynamic statewide network of customized training, education and development for business and industry.

Minnesota Workforce Centers are local one-stop centers for employment and training service delivery. The state site provides information and links for employers to training resources.

GED Tests assess the essential and lasting outcomes of a high school education.  Minnesota GED graduates have access to the same educational and employment opportunities of traditional high school graduates.

The Minnesota Literacy Council (MLC), is a statewide, nonprofit, volunteer literacy organization that provides tutor training, a referral service and support to community programs for basic reading, English language, or other basic skills development.

The Training Fulfillment Center provides a communication tool for workforce counselors, educators, and employers. The TFC allows them to rapidly interact to provide training and education for clients who qualify for federal and state funds.
