literacy needs which must be met in order for them to be
as productive as possible.

The Public School Adult
Education Programs are the primary delivery
system of a broad based curriculum in the areas of Basic
Reading, Writing and Math Skills for Adults; Adult
High School Diploma and General Education Development
Certificate; English as a Second
Language; Apprenticeship and Short
Term High Employment Potential Career Preparation,
among others.

Literacy Resource Center of California is a
comprehensive, co-operative network of literacy providers
and provides a framework for their collaborative
activities. It also develops and shares innovative
instructional and learning methods.

customer-focused consulting, training and economic
development services to San Diego individuals, businesses,
and government agencies. ETI is a full-service training
organization specializing in assessing your training needs

California Training & Education Providers (CTEP)
database is a comprehensive source of training
providers in California and an excellent guide to local
training information. You can search the CTEP
database of more than 2,600 training providers using
various criteria.

Stanford's International
and Cross-Cultural Education Program offers teaching
materials on cultural differences, cultural awareness,
ethnic studies, international studies, and multicultural
education. Interdisciplinary lessons and tools include
cooperative group activities.

Workforce Association provides
training for individuals working in the California workforce
development system. Training is funded by the State of
California and registration fees.

Market Information
The
state Employment Training Panel (ETP) and the
California
Chamber of Commerce have
joined forces to help inform employers about the
training funding ETP makes available to qualified
employers. The California Chamber helps guide
businesses through the ETP application and funding
process.

Learning
Support
California
WorkNet connects you to employment, education and
training services provided through local, State, and Federal
programs. WorkNet is the name for California's One-Stop Career Center
System, a statewide network of conveniently
located centers that each provide employment, education, and
training services all in one place.

Student Aid Commission provides information on the
state's education programs, colleges and universities,
financial aid assistance programs, grants, scholarships,
