the Department of Technical and Adult Education prepares
students for a highly skilled technical occupation that allows
either direct entry into the workplace as a qualified technician
or continuation with further education.

The General
Educational Development Diploma (GED) test
provides adults with an opportunity to earn a high school
equivalency diploma. GED guidelines,
testing and testing center locations are available from the

The Georgia Virtual
Technical College (GVTC) delivers courses and programs
through the Internet and is an innovation of the Georgia
Department of Technical and Adult Education. GVTC's
goal is to bring together the resources of Georgia’s statewide
